DESTASH- Orange Art Yarn Necklace
Early on when I first started my shop I used to spin yarn and make beautiful art yarn necklaces for sale and in display in my booth at festivals. This beauty was lost in storage and as I begin to clean out and close things downs I am starting to find little gems like these to destash.
This item makes for the perfect statement piece in your wardrobe.
Please keep in mind since this is a sample, it has a little wear from being folded and stored and hung up for display in my booth. The price of this item also reflects the cost of the yarn and not necessarily the time it took spin the yarn or to knit this item. Which can sometimes be weeks to a month depending on if I am working on more that one project at a time.
Finished Measurements (are all approximate): 20" in length not including clasp.
Here is a list of all of the yarn bases that are carried and their fiber content. Please keep in mind that color distribution and saturation will vary greatly from base to base and from what is depicted in each listing.
I do a lot research to make sure that all of the bases that I carry are ethically sourced from reputable, cruelty-free, mulesing-free farms and mills from around the world. My yarns are dyed using professional acid dyes in smoke-free environment in a dedicated space that I affectionately call my dye lab. And I also wash all of my yarns after dyeing them with a lavender wool wash. However, while my dye studio is pet free, I do have 4 cats and cat hair a mysterious thing and seems to find its way into all places.
Currently I am working on the discontinuation of a lot of yarn bases and I will also be bringing in a few new ones.
Recommended Wash Instructions For All Yarns: Gently hand wash in cold water and dry flat. Some colors may also bleed the first time the yarn is washed. Please keep in mind that non-superwash treated wools tend to bleed colors more than superwash treated wool.
Additional information as of July 2020: Because of Covid-19, supplies of milled yarn is limited as some mills have had to close or are running at half capacity at this particular time. This is not necessarily a bad thing as it ensures the safety of their employees and the product that they in turn are sending to us. This is why all new colors are this point will be preorders. If you are looking for a specific quantity on a specific base for that special project please do not hesitate to contact me for a custom order.

This beautiful base has the look and feel of wooly handspun yarn with its darker and lighter stripes. I suggest hand washing in cold water with a little wool wash and then dry flat. Yarn base is perfect for felting projects too.
